メルボルン研修を終えて

僕はこのプロジェクトに参加して本当に良かったと思っています。学校のみんなもホストファミリ ーもすごくいい人たちばかりでした。たくさんの友達もできました。ホストファミリーにはいろいろ な所に連れていってもらったり、たくさん話をすることができ、すごく楽しい時間を過ごすことがで きました。

この研修中に自分でも驚いたことが、「意外と英語が通じる」ということでした。自分が話す英語を わかってもらうこともできたし、英語を聞く耳もかなり育ったと思います。でも、まだまだわからな いことが多いので、もっともっと英語を勉強したいと思いました。

僕はこの研修を通して、自分に自信がもてるようになったし、考え方が大きく変わったと思います。自分は日本という小さな島国に住んでいて周りのことなど何も知りませんでした。でも海外に飛び出してみて、自分はこのままではいけないと思いました。もっといろんな人と接してみたい、もっと勉強して世界をみてみたい、そして将来メルボルンへ仕事をしに行きたいと思っています。

I am very happy that I participated in this project. Everyone at school and my host family were very nice. I made lots of friends. My host family took me to many places and we talked to each other a lot. I had a great time.

Throughout this trip, I was quite surprised that I was able to communicate with people in English more than I expected. People understood what I was saying in English and my listening skills have improved. However, this is only the beginning, so I would like to make more efforts to improve my English.

Through participating in this study tour, I have become a more confident person and my perspective, on many different levels, has changed dramatically. I did not know anything about world as I had only lived on the small island tat is Japan. However, this overseas experience has made me feel that something has to change in my life. Now I do have aspirations to meet people from various backgrounds, to see and learn more about the world and to work in Melbourne in the future.
