東日本大震災被災地の中学生をメルボルンに招待するプロジェクト

　オーストラリアは、自然が豊かで、道路が広かったです。　日本車が沢山走っていることにも気づきました。　学校では、みんな、優しくてフレンドリーで、相手を思いやる気持ちを常に持っていてくれていました。それぞれの国の文化を大切にしていて、いろいろな国から来た人たちが、お互いを尊重し合っていると思いました。また、言いたい事は、はっきり素直に言っていて驚きました。

　次の参加者へのアドバイスとして、オーストラリアでは、「Can I ~ ？」 「Would you like~？」の使い方や返事の仕方を覚えて、にっこり笑ってあいさつをすること、言いたいこと（好き嫌いとか）刃っきり言うこと、曖昧なのが一番良くないです。

　オーストラリアは、明るくて、元気な国だと思っていたけれど、明るくて前向きで親切な国だということがわかりました。ありがとうございました。

My first impression of Australia was rich natural beauty with very wide roads. I noticed many Japanese cars in the streets.

Most of my school mates were so kind and friendly to me. They were warm and considerate of other people. Everyone respected individual cultures and customs belonging to many different nationalities. I was impressed to know that the most people opened their heart and expressed their opinions honestly.

My best advice to the next students who will attend the same projects next year; (1) Please remember that you always to use the following sentences: “Can I …?” And “Would you like ….? “. To use these sentences is basic manners in this country. You should also know how to respond. (2) It is important to greet the people with big smile. (3) Please respond clearly with YES or NO when you are asked whether you want a slice of bread or a bowl of rice. Do not show that you do not know whether you want or you don’t. Please do not say “I do not know” as your response. My picture of Australia was only lively and sunny country before I arrived and lived there, but my image now has changed to that of the country with people who have positive mind towards future and with the warmth to love everyone.
