I thought prior to coming to Australia that the English language would be an obstacle but I relaxed and take it easy because I thought I would be able to manage and overcome that difficulty. I decided that it was most important for me to acquire as much vocabulary as possible.
All the member of the family where I stayed is very friendly and was kind to me. They tried to speak English by using body language as well so that I could understand English better.
For future students in this project for next year, I recommend that it is useful for them to prepare stories about themselves in respect to their hobbies, studies and some Japanese foods.
I found that everything in Australia is so big and wide. The structure of almost all school in Australia has one floor, not built like a high-rise building in Japan.
I found that there are many immigrants with various nationalities in Australia. Those people are living together peacefully with Australian people.
The most difficult experience was how to respond to the questions by Australian people at school and the homestay house. Their questions were always “what do you think about this “and “What is your opinion to this”. I had a hard time to responding with my thoughts. I know now that it is very important for us to have own view.
