オーストラリアで学んだ事

私は、オーストラリアで二週間ホームステイをして感じた事が二つあります。

一つ目は、オーストラリアの人達はすごくフレンドリーに接してくれた事です。日本では、学校ですれ違ったら「こんにちは」と言いますが、オーストラリアの人は、「Ｈｅｌｌｏ」や「Ｈｉ」といつも言ってくれます。ハグや先輩、後輩の関係なしの雑談、私にも質問してくれたり、質問の意味が分からなかったら、日本語辞典で調べてくれたりしました。私も帰国したら、それらの点を学校生活に活かそうと決めました。明るく挨拶をし、いつも笑顔を忘れずにいたら、一学期以上に仲の良い先輩が出来ました。これも、オーストラリアの友達のおかげだと思っています。

二つ目は、ホームステイ先の家族です。サウジアラビアからオーストラリアに移住してきたと聞きました。「オーストラリアは、とても住みやすい場所だ。」と話していました。バディの子は、私より一歳年上なのに、とても優しくて、日本語の発音がきれいでした。誕生日にはプレゼントをくれました。ホストファミリーとお別れするときにバディが「ここの家は、優奈の第二の家だよ。別れるのが悲しいよ。」と言ってくれました。私は、またホストファミリーにいつか会いたいと願いました。

今回の旅を通して、私は世界の人達に、今回の震災で被災した日本にたくさんの手紙や生活に役立てる物を送ってくれた事に、改めて感謝の気持ちが芽生えました。これから自分たちの町の復興の為には、一人、一人の気持ち、願いがあれば変えられると思います。

What I have learnt in Australia

There are two things I have felt over the two weeks while I was staying with my host family in Australia. Firstly, Australian people communicated in a very friendly manner. In Japan, people say “Konnichiwa” at school time to time, but everyone always said “ Hello” or “ Hi” in Australia in friendly manner. Everyone gave me warm hugs, we all had chats without worrying about relationships between seniors and juniors. People asked me questions and they checked words with a dictionary if I did not understand. I have decided to make use of these experiences after I return to Japan. I have been greeting everyone cheerfully with smile, and then my relationships with senior students have been enhanced compared to first term. Thanks to my Australian friends.

Secondly, I would like to mention about my host family I was told that my host family migrated from Saudi Arabia to Australia. They told me that Australia is a good place to live. My buddy was one year older than me and very kind. His Japanese pronunciation was excellent. He gave me a present on my birthday. When we had to say good-bye, my buddy said ‘ this is your second home. I am very sad to say good-bye to you”. One day I would love to see my host family again.

Throughout this trip, I was heart felt with the people around world who sent lots of encouraging letters and relief supplies to Japanese people who are the victims of the earthquake. My gratitude has grown stronger. I believer that each person’s strong determination and desire will be able to reconstruct our town in the future.
